Verify a crochet pattern written on Woolmoot
Before the final generation, one last review to make sure everything is in order. A quick pass that saves you from unpleasant surprises.
Go to pageUsage rights
You should have already customised this setting in step 3, but check it again: better safe than sorry. These rights determine, legally and in the reader's eyes, what they are and are not allowed to do with your pattern.
Translations
All translations of the stitches used in your pattern are listed here, including custom stitches. Remember to check the translations of your custom stitches: you need to fill them in manually if necessary, otherwise only the original text will be used.
Information
Check that all your pattern information is correct and complete: language, name, cover image, hook sizes, yarns and tools. This data feeds the cover and the 'materials and abbreviations' page of your PDF.
PDF preview
You can generate a preview of your PDF in the writing language. This preview is entirely free and does not use any of your generations: it is available to all users.
- Free users
- The preview is generated directly by your device. If your pattern is large or your device is not very powerful (a mobile phone, for example), generation may be slow.
- Pro subscribers
- The preview is generated on Woolmoot's servers; a few seconds is all it takes regardless of the pattern size or the device used.
- Editing / preview round trips
- The preview lets you see your final PDF and easily go back and forth between editing the pattern, the design and the preview, before launching the final translation generation.
Proofreading the PDF pattern
With your pattern in PDF preview, you can proofread it more naturally, in the same format your makers will see: this is the best time to spot typos, omissions or elements that need adjusting before the final generation.
